Quest Store Submission, Original Audio, and Collider Fixes
Since our last update, Fly Exterminator has crossed a major milestone: we submitted the build to the Meta Quest store for review. We are still targeting Early Access on July 31, 2026, and this pass focused on the kind of polish and stability work that belongs in a submission-ready build.
Meta Quest store submission
We are officially in Meta’s review queue. This is the first time we have put a full store submission through the process, so we are watching for feedback and staying ready to turn around fixes quickly. Getting here took the OpenXR work, balance passes, and platform readiness from earlier in the summer—now the focus is responding to review and landing a build we are proud to ship.
Original music and SFX
Fly Exterminator now has original music and sound effects built for the game. Spatial audio has always been part of how you track flies in your room; the new score and SFX layer give sessions more punch—clearer feedback on catches, misses, and mode transitions without drowning out the directional cues that matter in mixed reality.
Collider fixes
Mixed-reality play lives or dies on how hands, flies, and room geometry interact. We fixed a lot of collider issues across the build—tighter hand-to-fly contact, more reliable hits against scanned surfaces, and fewer edge cases where geometry felt wrong in real rooms. It is the unglamorous work, but it is what makes swatting feel fair and consistent session to session.
What is next
While review runs, we are keeping the build stable, knocking out any feedback Meta sends back, and holding the line on the July 31 Early Access target.
